Kamana’s 2022 Year in Review

September 14, 2022

2022 was full of trials and triumphs. Whether it was the challenge of maintaining your Wordle streak, refraining from losing hours scrolling TikTok or Reels, or trying to lock down tickets to Taylor Swift’s 2023 tour, there was a lot keeping us busy in 2022 – and Kamana is no exception (fun fact: our team Slack channel contained 1,335 mentions of Wordle in 2022)!

Every year, we look back at our company’s growth, the people who made it all possible, and what 2022 has meant to us all. We hope Kamana played a small part in freeing up time for you to get back to the things that matter, and share our heartfelt appreciation to all the medical professionals & agencies that are using Kamana to improve the healthcare industry. The Kamana team has enjoyed serving you this year, and we want to give our thanks!

You’ve helped Kamana grow!

Industry Events

We’ve been busy traveling coast-to-coast to attend some of the best conferences that the healthcare industry (and beyond) has to offer. Check out the conferences we made it to this year, and hopefully now that they’re on your radar, we’ll see you next year!

Atlanta, GA

NOSACon is a conference for NOSA members and supporters from across the nation to come together to learn, network and grow as business leaders and entrepreneurs. Kamana’s Co-founder and VP of HCP Empowerment Trey Modica had the opportunity to lead discussions on the “Future of Healthcare Technology” and “Attracting New Talent with Results-Minded Recruiting!”

Aurora, CO

We sponsored & attended ElixirConf in search for engineers with expertise in Elixir to join our team as we work to create a seamless (and unbelievably fast!) staffing process for healthcare professionals and employers. We had a lot of interest in important roles at Kamana, and many referrals came from the event!

Las Vegas, NV

We sponsored & attended TravCon to network with our users, partners, and healthcare professionals, and also show how to best manage your credentials, resume, and career in a secure all-in-one profile.

While there, the Kamana team asked attendees what makes this show special and their biggest takeaways from the event. Experience the highlights from this year’s show & relive the excitement or get a taste of what TravCon is all about by watching our recap video below!

Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA) Collaboration in the Gig Economy

Dallas, TX

SIA’s “Collaboration in the Gig Economy” is a unique conference designed for all players in the talent supply chain. The event covers the most pressing topics for people helping connect talent to work which resonates with Kamana’s mission & values.

Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA) Healthcare Staffing Summit

Houston, TX

Kamana was a gold sponsor of SIA’s Healthcare Staffing Summit and aimed to educate staffing companies on how to improve their candidates’ experience with intelligent onboarding and automated processes. Kamana’s Co-Founder & President, Dave Dworschak lead the breakout session, “Talent Acquisition Tech Innovations and Disruptions in Healthcare Staffing”.

Expert Writers

We also must recognize all the amazing writers that have collaborated with us or have been guest contributors for our blog. Hearing directly from the experts means Kamana is able to share quality content on our blog and in our monthly newsletters.

Another thank you to all our Kamana folks, Jason Adams, Sera Davenport, Shannon Hardy, and John Modica that contributed to our blog as well!

Partners + Friends

Last but not least, we’d like to thank all our trusted partners we’ve got to collaborate with this year. From finance, housing, community apps, traveler tips, and skills training, we are committed to working with our partners that are improving the healthcare industry, and we hope you love them too!

Meet our Partners

Thank you!

We can’t say enough good things about the cool, smart, and dedicated group of humans that we get to work with each day – both internally at Kamana and with you, our friends and partners! THANK YOU! 😁
